To be able to use our facilities you have to use the MARINA PAYMENT CARD. You can use the payment terminal to purchase or top up a marina payment card. The credit on the marina payment card is valid in our harbours in Giethoorn and Blokzijl.

Visitors’ harbour/Motor home site ‘De Zuiderkluft’ in Giethoorn
Visitors’ harbour ‘De Zuiderkluft’ is the first marina to the west of the canal coming from the Beukerssluis lock. You can use a free mooring in the visitors’ harbour, but also at the quay in the Beukers-Steenwijk Canal. In the peak season we ask you to close up, and when necessary, accept a fellow visitor to raft off you.
‘De Zuiderkluft’ also has about 40 motor home sites, located directly and attractively at the harbour.
When you arrive and have found a mooring/pitch, you can pay your harbour fees via the payment terminal, the terminal will issue you a ticket as receipt which you should place in a place clearly visible (from the quay).
The payment terminal can be found in the passage at the side of the harbour office. This is indicated with a sign with the text TICKETS.
You can use the payment terminal not only to pay for your mooring, but also to purchase a MARINE PAYMENT CARD or top up. Take note: The payment terminal accepts debit cards and credit cards for payment (NO coins).
If payment through the payment terminal is problematic, the harbour master will be happy to assist you.
Facilities
Electricity
There are enough power connections at the visitors’ harbour and the motor home sites. A payment of € 1.00 (which is deducted from your MARINA PAYMENT CARD) will give you 1 kWh. The electricity connections are fused at 10 Amp.
Water
There are tap water stations at various locations in the harbour and on the motor homes site. A payment of € 0.50 (which is deducted from your marina payment card) gets you approximately 80 litres of water. In connection with Legionella control we ask that you unroll the hose completely from the reel and first rinse it before use.
Toilet block
There is a new toilet block with more than ample facilities, including a disabled shower/toilet. The showers work by using your marina payment card.
Chemical toilet disposal site
Left, next to the toilet block, there is a chemical toilet disposal site.
Waste water
Visitors’ harbour 'De Zuiderkluft' has a waste water pump.
Close to the slope you can discharge waste water between 9.00 and 18.00.
Laundry
Visitors’ harbour 'De Zuiderkluft' has a washing machine and a dryer.
A single wash or drying 1 load costs € 5.00 (which is taking from your marina payment card).
WiFi
WiFi is available at the harbour/motor home site. The login code is available from the harbour master.
Waste
The waste container is located at the front of the harbour office at the slope and at the rear (street side) of the sanitary building.
Moorings on the Giethoorn canal
As a visitor you can also find a mooring in the canal, the power connection at the canal is ultra modern and provided by AanUit.net. Using the ‘AanUit-app’ on your telephone, or logging in via your computer or tablet allows you to switch the power connections on and off (AanUit.net). Take note: Do not forget to log off from AanUit.net upon departure, or the connection will remain active and be charged to your account.
If you are moored on the canal, you can use the toilet block in Bartus Warnersweg near the Kulturhus and the Spar. This toilet block is open from 8:00 through to 21:00. Here you need a € 1.00 coin.

On the Beukers-Steenwijk canal, diagonally across from the entrance to the visitors’ harbour, you will find the Avia Gas Station Prinsen. You can purchase diesel, petrol, butane and propane gas here.
